Aim: Preparation and Evaluation of Aqueous Iodine solution IP 66 (Lugol’s solution)

Glassware’s: Beaker, glass rod glass bottle etc.

Procedure:

Potassium iodide was dissolved in water.

Add iodine to the solution and dissolve

.Make up the volume to 10ml with water in a measuring cylinder.

Transfer to bottle, label & submit.

Dose: 0.3 to 1ml

Storage: Store in cool, dry place away from light.
