How to prepare Paracetamol Pediatric Elixir
- Measuring accurate quantity of cosolvents
Measure the accurate quantity of alcohol, propylene glycol and chloroform spirit
- Mix all cosolvents
Mix alcohol, propylene glycol and chloroform spirit
- Weigh and dissolve Paracetamol
Paracetamol should be weighed and dissolved in a mixture of alcohol, propylene glycol and chloroform spirit.
- Add other excipients
Add flavouring agents, Sweetening agents and colouring agents
- Make up the volume
Makeup the volume with purified water.
Category: Antipyretic.
Dose: 5 to 10 ml
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from light
Alcohol act as a cosolvent for paracetamol
