The environment is classified as
1) Internal environment
2) external environment ( Macro environment).
The internal environment consists of components of the body and their harmonious functions. The external environment consists of all things to which man is exposed.
Environment and Health :
The health status of an individual is determined by their relationship with the environment. The environment has a direct impact on health. The environmental factors affecting health are water, air, sound, light, housing, animals, insects etc. and now these sources due to industrialization, urbanisation and modern agricultural techniques are leading to environmental pollution. This in turn has an adverse effect on health.
