Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI)
ASSOCIATION OF PHARMACEUTICAL TEACHERS OF INDIA – an association found by the pioneers of Pharmacy education in India in 1966 by leading personalities like Prof. M. L. Schroff, Prof. G. P Srivastava and others, has come a long way in creating better intercommunication and promotion of excellence in pharmacy education.
Through its tailor-made mission and objectives, the association has provided a single platform in bringing together teachers of pharmacy education from all over the country. This has helped in the achievement of excellent standards and to develop new techno-logical methods in pharmacy education through the exchange of views amongst the teaching members. The emergent world today, with unbelievable sophistication under its belt, demands for technically sound and highly knowledgeable pharmacists.
The contribution of a teacher is thereby quite demanding. A Teacher apart from being an educator also contributes to science as a researcher, helps in business development as a consultant to pharmaceutical industry and also creates social awareness as a community pharmacist.

About Nashik :
“Temples, wineries, orchids, industries… Nashik has all of these and then some. It’s this confluence of different realities that has left the town with a slightly mixed identity. It takes pride in its ancient heritage but has all the aspirations of a modern city. It’s increasingly urban but in a pastoral setting and sometimes it’s a throwback to older, slower times in the middle of a busy city street”.
In stark contrast to this piety lies its wine-production industry. Dubbed as the Napa Valley of India, this beautiful town surrounded by the Sayhadri Hills and the Western Ghats produces some of the finest wines in the country. Nashik is also the grape-wine capital of Maharashtra and the home of one of India’s 12 holy Jyotirlingas, from which spring the sacred waters of the queen of Deccan rivers — the Godavari. And Nashik is, of course, one of the four cities that host the greatest of Hindu melas — the Kumbh. Modern Nashik is a mini-Mumbai, a hap hazard shamble of high-rises fringing both sides of the Mumbai-Agra Highway. The heart of the old city couldn’t be more different — a congested beehive of activity, with narrow streets and ancient temples throbbing with energy, piety and sales, through which flows a sacred Indian river.
As per the survey conducted by ‘The city Mayors Foundation’, an international think tank on urban affairs, Nashik is 14th fastest growing city in the world.
